Realme Hints at GT Neo 5 SE Release

    More Features Than Expected?

Realme has shared a teaser about its upcoming phone, the GT Neo 5 SE, although the company has not disclosed the official release date.

Anticipating the Realme GT Neo 5 SE

Realme recently teased the launch of its new phone, the GT Neo 5 SE, a device based on the GT Neo 5, which boasted impressive features such as 240W charging. While it is uncertain whether the GT Neo 5 SE will have the same charging capabilities, the new phone might not be as pared down as initially thought.

The company teased the GT Neo 5 SE on the Chinese social network Weibo, claiming via machine translation that it would be the “least SE” phone to date. This statement implies that the GT Neo 5 SE might retain more features than a typical “special edition” phone. However, we will have to wait for Realme to provide more details to confirm this.

    Rumored Specifications and Features

In the meantime, GizmoChina cites some rumored specifications for the Realme GT Neo 5 SE. It is believed to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 chip, although the chip’s name might change to something like Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 upon its official announcement.

Other rumored specs include a 6.74-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a fast 144Hz refresh rate. Internally, the phone is expected to feature LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The device’s chassis is reportedly made of aluminum.

As for the camera system, the GT Neo 5 SE is said to have a primary 64-megapixel camera, accompanied by 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is also expected. The phone is rumored to feature an under-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics and an infrared (IR) blaster, a feature not commonly seen in smartphones.

Lastly, the device is rumored to come with a 5,500mAh battery and 100W fast charging capabilities. Although not as fast as the 240W charging on the Realme GT Neo 5, the 100W charging is still impressive.
