New Feature Allows Seamless Video Integration with Emails Using OneDrive

Microsoft Outlook is set to introduce a new feature that enables users to capture and upload video content directly from their smartphones to emails. This update seeks to simplify the process of attaching video footage to Outlook emails, thus eliminating a commonly frustrating step for users.

The feature will leverage Microsoft’s OneDrive for Business, an enterprise-focused cloud storage system. With increased storage space and the ability to accommodate large video files, OneDrive for Business will enable users to upload various types of video content. According to the official Microsoft 365 roadmap, the feature is designed to “benefit from increased storage space and large limits for video size and length.”

Initially available only for Android users, the service may expand to iOS users if successful. The update is currently “in development,” with a preview slated for release this month and a full rollout expected shortly thereafter.

    Copilot in Outlook

Earlier, Microsoft had introduced Copilot in outlook, that works with your inbox and messages.

Microsoft has been actively enhancing Outlook to remain relevant and user-friendly. Recent updates include the introduction of reactions to Outlook, allowing users to add more personality to their messages by responding with “thumbs up,” “laugh,” “heart,” “celebrate,” or “shed a tear.” Additionally, Microsoft Teams is working on integrating its chat feature into Outlook, enabling users to send messages or review chats without opening Microsoft Teams separately, thus eliminating the need to switch between applications.
