    Hisense Announces NBA Partnership

    Hisense recently announced its partnership with the NBA and showcased its new lineup of mini-LED TVs, including the super-bright flagship ULED X, which is set to compete with OLED TVs in terms of performance.

    Hisense’s NBA Sponsorship and Growth in North America

    At a recent event in New York City, Hisense unveiled its partnership with the NBA, while also announcing its rise to the number two TV brand in North America based on unit share, as per data from Circana retail tracking service. As a result of this partnership, Hisense will sponsor X-Factor Moments, which is a weekly series of game highlights from the 2023 postseason. League Pass live game subscription service will be accessible via the NBA TV app on Hisense smart TVs.

    ULED X – Official Television of the NBA

    The limited edition 85-inch ULED X model has been designated as the official television of the NBA. Boasting over 20,000 mini-LEDs and 5,000-plus local dimming zones, the ULED X has a peak brightness of 2,500 nits and claims to offer twice the contrast range of OLED TVs. It also features a built-in 4.1.2 Dolby Atmos and DTS:X speaker system powered by 80 watts.

    New Mini-LED Models – U8K, U7K, and U6K Series

    Hisense’s lineup also includes the U8K, U7K, and U6K series, available in 55-, 65-, 75-, and 85-inch screen sizes with peak brightness ranging from 600 nits on the U6K series to 1,500 nits on the U8K series. Both the U8K and U7K series have 144Hz-capable panels, making them suitable for gaming, while all models feature a built-in ATSC 3.0 digital TV tuner.

    L9H Laser TV Ultra Short Throw Projector

    Hisense’s premier ultra short throw projector for 2023 is the L9H, which comes with either a 100- or 120-inch ambient light rejecting screen and an RGB laser light engine capable of 107% BT.2020 color space coverage. The L9H features Dolby Vision high dynamic range. It has Google TV smart interface for streaming and voice control. A built-in 40-watt Dolby Atmos sound system and an ATSC 3.0 tuner for next-gen digital TV broadcasts is also featured.

    Sports Sponsorship and the Battle for Budget TV Dominance

    Hisense’s NBA partnership aims to increase brand visibility, much like its main competitor, TCL, which is the official partner of NFL football. LG, an OLED TV maker, is an official partner of NCAA basketball. As Hisense and TCL compete, consumers can expect consistent improvements in picture quality and affordable pricing. Specific pricing for Hisense’s new TVs, set to arrive in June, has not been announced yet.
