Bing Chat on Android Phones via SwiftKey Keyboard Integration
Microsoft’s SwiftKey Beta brings ChatGPT-powered Bing and Tone feature to Android users
Bing Chat on Android Phones: Microsoft has recently integrated its ChatGPT-powered Bing into the SwiftKey beta app for Android devices. SwiftKey is a virtual keyboard app that adapts to users’ writing styles, offering more accurate autocorrect and text predictions. This integration provides direct access to Bing chatbot and the ability to select a “conversation style,” similar to the browser version. The exclusive Tone feature rewrites user text to match a specific voice.

How to Access Bing on SwiftKey
To try Bing on SwiftKey, download the beta app from the Google Play Store. Microsoft’s Mobile and Commerce Division CTO, Pedram Rezaei, discussed the update on Twitter. Circle back later, if the update is unavailable in your version of the SwiftKey Beta.

Exploring SwiftKey’s Bing Feature and Tone
After installing the app and following the on-screen prompts to enable SwiftKey, Bing access is located above the keyboard. Besides the chatbot, a built-in search function is available for web posts and images.
The main highlight is the Tone feature, which offers four different rewrites based on specific voices: Professional, Casual, Polite, and Social Post. Tone has certain restrictions, as text must be between three and 200 characters, and it does not work with swear words.
Uncertainty About iOS Availability
It is currently unknown whether an iOS version of the feature will be released. SwiftKey’s history on iOS has been inconsistent, with the app being discontinued on Apple devices in October 2022, only to be restored a month later by Microsoft. The company has been asked about potential Bing AI support for SwiftKey on iOS, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
